Tour of the World

With three very distinct spaces around this large Tuscan-style home, it was possible to branch out into more than one garden style.

To complement the architecture of the house we created a casual Mediterranean themed garden in the front. Colourful garden beds replaced extensive lawns to soften the dominant house and forecourt and provide street appeal. Olives, citrus and cypress trees are surrounded by loose spheres of lavender and westringia. With other flowering perennials adding to the pretty and informal theme.

A resort-style feel has been injected into the dated poolside area, with warm decking and a Balinese inspired hardwood screen updating the previously stark expanse of concrete. Small palms and fragrant gardenia provide a touch of tropical greenery.

A shaded side garden was transformed with low-maintenance and shade-tolerant plants. A limestone stepping path provides access around the house, through a pretty combination of maples, flowering shrubs and hardy ground covers.
